The Trumpet Tune is a classic wedding repertoire so that nowadays it is most often used for traditional white weddings.

There are in fact two trumpet tunes that are often mixed up.  Both are used for weddings and there is no reason you couldn’t use both in the same wedding too if you like it.  Both were written in the late 1600s, 0ne was written by Henry Purcell and the other was written by Jeremiah Clarke however who wrote which is often debated.  Both trumpet melodies are available here at Wedding Harp Recordings.  Click HERE to view the other version.

As the Trumpet Tune is a classic choice for weddings, there are 5 lengths provided to suit your ceremony perfectly.

  • Version 1 is the shortest and plays for just over two minutes and is perfect for short aisles.
  • Version 2 plays for just under three minutes.
  • Version 3 plays for just over three and a half minutes.
  • Version 4 plays for nearly four and a half miutes
  • Version 5 plays for nearly 6 minutes – perfect if you have a very long aisle and/or want to have the same music playing while everybody enters.
