She is one of Ireland’s most well known and sought after wedding harpists and is passionate about working with couples to provide the best wedding music experience. Although Aisling performs for many different types of occasions she specializes in weddings. Each wedding is different to suit the couple getting married. Her repertoire is huge – she can play anything! We have hand picked a selection of classic and alternative wedding music to make available as recordings. Special arrangements of Pop and Rock modern music is her speciality – examples include All You Need Is Love (The Beatles), Don’t Want To Miss A Thing (Aerosmith) and Nothing Else Matters (Metallica).
Experience
Aisling first began to play the harp as a child in Ireland. She now plays with a skill and beauty that few harpists can match. From a very young age, Aisling was obsessed with the harp and thankfully her parents put her in lessons at the tender age of 6. Since then, her love affair with the harp has gone from strength to strength and she is now a dedicated, passionate musician. As a true Irish harpist, she plays both the traditional Irish harp and the full orchestral Concert harp.
Here is Aisling’s main wedding instrument: a stunning Salvi Concert harp. (Almost!) any song can be played on this harp because unlike a traditional Irish harp, it allows her the full range of musical notes. She can play arrangements of absolutely any genre: classical, rock, pop, religious music as well as traditional folk music. This is the harp you hear in all of the recordings on this site.
Varied Performance Repertoire
For over 10 years she studied in Ireland’s best music conservatory with a scholarship and won many awards and prizes for her playing. Besides weddings, Aisling has also continued her professional experience as a varied concert performer, playing solo, in small groups, with a number of orchestras and with famous artists including Sinead O’Connor, Paul Potts, Josh Ritter, Kanye West and the British comedian Bill Bailey.
Over the years, Aisling has performed a huge variety of different music and at different types of marriage services! Church services, civil weddings, traditional, modern, Celtic handfastings, heterosexual and gay couples… She can accommodate a huge range of musical tastes and loves to be challenged with special requests to make your day unique. The variety of music found on this site is just a small sample of what she has played over the years as a wedding harpist and what she has found to work best. If you have any special requests please do get in touch and let us know what piece you’d like and when your wedding is. We can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to record it but if we can we will!
