However, more and more couples are choosing to use recorded wedding music at their ceremony, for a wide variety of reasons.
So why use recorded wedding music?
- Budget-friendly! Hiring a live musician to play at your wedding is expensive – and rightly so as they are professionals who need to make a living. However nowadays most of us are on a tight budget. Or maybe you’re simply prioritising elsewhere? Simply put, using a recording is a cheap way to have great music. You can have music for your entire ceremony for less than $10 – unbeatable!
- Fewer practical restrictions – as long as you have a power outlet, music is available anywhere and any time; there are no restrictions for weather, out of the way destinations or small spaces.
- You can bring it with you – this is especially useful for a destination wedding as you don’t need to rely on local musicians. If you’re not local you might speak a different language or live in a different time zone. This makes it harder plan and arrange things before the wedding. Bringing a recording is just one more thing you can sort from home!
