A well-known, traditional Celtic tune, the Ashgrove is from Wales originally and is still to be very popular across Britain and Ireland.  This tune is so versatile it would be ideal almost anywhere during your service, including before the service, during a candle or sand ceremony or as an exit piece.

This beautiful melody was first published in 1802 however like many traditional tunes, the real origins are lost in the mists of time.  Over the last few hundred years there have been several sets of lyrics used with this melody, including some hymns (the most well-known of which is called Let All Things Now Living).
