Pachelbel’s Canon, with its steady beat and traditional, recognizable melody is ideally suited as a wedding march but can also be used elsewhere during the wedding.  Properly called the Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel, this melody has become very popular over the last few years as music for a bridal entrance and is now a wedding classic.

Pachelbel’s Canon was written more than 300 years ago and is part of the traditional wedding music repertoire.  As such it is typically used in traditional white weddings but our version is very light and as a non-religious piece of music it would be lovely for any kind of wedding, really.

As it is so well suited to a processional, we have recorded this in several different lengths so that you can time it perfectly to match your trip down the aisle!

Pachelbel’s Canon comes in several lengths so that if you are using it as an entrance march you can time your arrival perfectly:

  • The shortest version plays for a minute – perfect for short aisles or for a moment of reflection during the ceremoney.
  • The next shortest version plays for just over two minutes.
  • The next shortest version plays for just over three minutes.
  • The next shortest version plays for a little longer than three and a half minutes.
  • The longest version plays for nearly 5 full minutes.

All versions are included in the download price!

Note: Pachelbel’s Canon was originally composed by Johann Pachelbel and is arranged for harp by Aisling Ennis.
