Are you having a traditional wedding and looking to make a grand entrance?  Or perhaps you need some glorious music to match your grand exit after the ceremony?  You might be having a traditional wedding but that doesn’t mean you want to use the same music you’ve heard at so many other weddings already!  Why not use the Arrival of the Queen of Sheba, a piece of music every bit as fabulous as the name suggests!

Written in 1748 by Handel for his Opera Solomon this music announced the Queen of Sheba’s grand arrival at the start of the 3rd Act.  The opera is based on the biblical stories about King Solomon, one of which tells how the Queen of Sheba came from the South to visit Solomon and learn from his wisdom, bringing lavish gifts with her.  Traditionally she is thought to have been very rich and the music Handel composed for her arrival is truly appropriate for a regal entrance.

You’ll love this for something different for a traditional style wedding.

Arrival of the Queen of Sheba comes in two lengths to suit your ceremony:

  • The shorter version lasts about two minutes.
  • The longer version plays for over two and a half minutes.

Note: Original music by George Frederick Handel, arranged by Aisling Ennis.
